Answer
Translink have advised that the Long Line Public Address (LLPA) system on the Larne line is approximately 20 years old and has experienced reliability problems over the last several years. NI Railways continuously monitor LLPA performance and repair as necessary. Obsolete and unreliable components of the system will be replaced on a phased basis over the next 12 months.
