Answer
Community Asset Transfer can only take place following consultation with and the approval of the asset owner. Under the Community Asset Transfer Demonstration Programme, organisations interested in acquiring an asset must show evidence of consultation with the asset owner in order to be eligible under the programme. They also have to provide evidence of support from at least one public sector body for the proposed transfer.
