To ask the Minister for Regional Development what work is being undertaken to implement a long-term solution to the maintenance and refurbishment of the Castle Car Park Subway in Carrickfergus.

This subway is part of our structures inventory. It undergoes regular inspections and is currently assessed to be structurally sound. Maintenance work is carried out on the structure on a routine and as-required basis.

Given the current budget settlement, my Department is not in a position to undertake any long term refurbishment work at this time.
