Answer
The Department has set up an automated Customer Services Line on 028 9531 3153 where Spend Local Prepaid card recipients can report a lost or stolen card. Cards reported as lost or stolen are cancelled and a replacement card issued with any remaining balance transferred to the new card.
To replace a lost or stolen card the card recipient will need to know the card’s 16-digit card number. If they do not recall this number, which can be found on the letter which accompanied the card, they will need to phone a manned Customer Services line on 028 9590 8459.
Card recipients can also instantly report a lost or stolen card, and block or unblock their card from use through the client services portal.
