Answer
Following a condition survey of the Larne High School buildings, which was carried out in August 2021, a business case for a minor works scheme to progress the refurbishment of changing rooms and associated works (at an estimated cost of £450k) was initiated. The Education Authority (EA) have advised me that it is hoped that these works, along with a window upgrade scheme at an estimated cost of £100k, will be addressed under the 2022/23 Maintenance Unavoidable Programme. This is however subject to the availability of capital funding.
The EA are also progressing an emergency works scheme to upgrade plaster work and flooring, which is due to be delivered before 31 March 2022.
