To ask the Minister for the Economy what plans he has to provide additional support to events businesses that have been adversely affected during the pandemic.

I understand that the Covid-19 pandemic has created challenges and difficulties for society at large, and the economic impacts have been significant.

The Executive Covid Taskforce continues to assess the need for financial support in response to the gradually improving health situation and will make recommendations for any necessary support for sectors likely to suffer irreparable damage.

The recent easement of remaining restrictions on businesses will enable us to move towards a return to a normal trading environment and as such my Department has no plans for any additional financial support for businesses relating to the pandemic.
