Answer
The Housing Executive estimates that we need at least 2,000 units to meet the growing need for social housing and address backlog issues. Annual targets in recent years have fallen short of this figure as the budget has been constrained by pressures on capital budgets.
I am committed to increasing the number of social homes being delivered each year.
