To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail what specific support her Department is providing to the corporate events sector.

Since March 2020, the NI Executive and the UK Government have introduced an unprecedented number of interventions and packages of financial support to help those who have been affected by the consequences of Covid-19.

The Department for the Economy has led in the delivery of business related support, providing more than £485 million of much needed funds to support local businesses from all sectors and occupations throughout Northern Ireland, with the primary aim of helping these businesses to survive the pandemic, and protect as many local jobs as possible. This included the £25k Business Support Scheme in 2020 and more recently, the Large Tourism and Hospitality Business Support Scheme.
